Application Procedure

If you have any questions about the application process, please contact us.

It is also possible to arrange a study guidance meeting with us before you start applying.

The guidance is free of charge, as is the processing of the application and the entrance exam.

1. Register on our website by clicking APPLY and follow the instructions you receive by email.

You fill out the registration form where you provide your email address and save your own password. After you have registered, you can log in to your student profile.

2. Fill in your personal information and upload attachments

In your student profile, fill in all personal information and upload 2 attachments (copy of passport and diploma confirming that you have general study qualifications). If you receive a diploma later during this academic year - mark it in the form at the bottom under personal information so that the system will let you continue in the application process. The diploma must be in Norwegian (for Martin applicants) or in English (for Brno applicants).

3. Agreement on study guidance

All our applicants must enter into an agreement for study guidance with Interstudium - to get access to all our free courses, syllabus, examples from previous entrance exams and tests in chemistry, biology and physics. You must then send an email to post@interstudium.no where fu asks to have the agreement sent to your email address. You sign the agreement and send it back by email. You must also pay a deposit of 3,000 kroner, this is not a fee without a guarantee that you will be refunded after completing the application process. You can only lose the deposit in 2 cases: either if you do not show up for the entrance exam you have registered for (and you do not have a valid waiver - medical certificate) or if you decline studies where you have passed the entrance exam and been admitted.

4. Fill out the university application form

The application process consists of 2 steps - first you register with Interstudium, then you fill out an electronic application at the respective university where you want to study - on their website.

BRNO

The same applies to dentistry and general medicine in Brno in the Czech Republic: In January, an electronic application form will be posted on the Masaryk University website that you must fill out. All applicants will receive a notification when this is available. Here you must remember to choose the correct study type:

Remember to fill out the entire form and state that you are applying through the "Agency" - Interstudium. This year you must also attach a copy of your diploma as soon as you have it (or transcript if you are in your final year at VGS) in English. This is because Brno looks at your grade point average in case there is any doubt about sufficient knowledge during the entrance exam (they do not look at whether you have science, that is not a requirement). After you have finished this application, take a screenshot of the confirmation that you have completed the application with your assigned ID number and upload this image to your profile at Interstudium. If you are applying for both general medicine and dentistry, you must fill out both forms, but take only one entrance exam - this will then be for both fields of study. Be careful not to lose this ID number, you will need it to log in to the entrance exam online.

MARTIN

An electronic application form has now been posted on the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine website  APPLICATION HERE  - which you must fill in. Also remember to upload the attachments requested by the university. When you have finished this form, upload a PDF copy to your profile at Interstudium to document that your application is in order. Without this attachment, you cannot register for the entrance exam. The university also usually sends a simple form to all applicants with questions about the date of the desired entrance exam and the study agent through which you are applying. There you fill in the desired date for the entrance exam and Interstudium as the "Agency".

Interstudium recommends all our applicants for general medicine to take the entrance exams to both Martin and Brno. This increases your chances of getting into the studies. Taking the entrance exam is a very good way to get in and since it does not cost money, we recommend that you take it to both universities. Take the entrance exam to the university that you have as your first priority last, so that you can experience from the previous entrance exam.

KOŠICE

An electronic application form has been posted on the website of the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy that you must fill out:  APPLICATION IN PDF HEREAfter you have completed this application, print it out, sign it and send it to our email address post@interstudium.no. At the same time, upload a PDF copy of it to your profile at Interstudium. Interstudium will forward your application to the university so that you can use all the benefits (courses, tests etc.) together with all our applicants.

5. You register for the entrance exam

When your application to Interstudium is complete (containing a copy of your passport, diploma and the university's electronic application), you can register for the entrance exam. Dates for the entrance exam can be found in your student profile during registration for the entrance exam. Brno and Martin have two entrance exams, Kosice usually has more, you must choose 1 date that suits you best. If you are applying to several universities at the same time, we recommend that you take the entrance exams at appropriate intervals so that you can prepare well. Remember that you can only take the entrance exam once per year to the same university. We also recommend that all applicants take as many entrance exams as possible as long as they are free. This is excellent training for you and at the same time increases your chances of getting in. You can change the date for the entrance exam yourself in your student profile up to 4 weeks before the entrance exam takes place.

6. Syllabus and examples from previous entrance exams

After you have returned and signed the study guidance agreement, completed the application and registered for at least 1 of our entrance exams, you will have access to all our free courses, syllabus, our tests and examples from previous entrance exams. Interstudium also recommends that you take all courses that the respective university offers. Use in particular Brno's foundation courses in chemistry, biology and physics which are excellent for applicants to medicine in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia: Preparatory course This course is specifically designed for the online entrance exam that you must pass to enter, the course costs €100 per subject and is paid directly to the university.

7. The entrance exam

All our entrance exams are free and will be online. They consist of a written multiple choice test (in English) in relevant science subjects (Martin - biology and chemistry, Brno - biology, chemistry and physics, Košice - biology and chemistry). The entrance exams normally last 3-4 hours and no aids are allowed. There may be both camera and audio monitoring during the exam. You will receive the results within one week of the entrance exam. If you have passed, you can accept or decline the offer of a study place - usually with a deadline of 10-14 days. If you are admitted to several universities at the same time, we will help you with guidance so that you choose the best possible option in relation to your wishes and qualifications.

We recommend that everyone complete their application immediately after registration in order to be able to concentrate solely on studies, reading, and courses towards the entrance exam. As mentioned earlier, students without an application will not be able to participate in our courses and entrance exams.

8. Translation of documents and courses before departure

After accepting the study place, we will provide a free state-authorized translation of your documents (diplomas, possibly others) and you can participate in our 20-hour free course in language, culture and society before your departure. The courses are most often arranged as a weekend gathering in July / August.
All guidance at Interstudium is free, as is the processing of your application, entrance exams and follow-up until departure. If you have any questions about the application process, please contact post@interstudium.no

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Application deadlines:

The university usually sets it at about 2-4 weeks for each individual entrance exam, but for our applicants we recommend completing everything right away after registration and not waiting until the last deadline. The reason for this is that without a completed application you will not be able to use our tests or participate in free courses, and if you wait too long, you will lose time for preparation. We would also like to remind you that the entrance exams are often difficult, every year about half of all Norwegian students (who apply through various study agents) pass the entrance exam. Our candidates usually score well precisely because they use our tests and courses. So if you wait too long to complete your application, you actually risk not being sufficiently prepared.

2. Documents you must attach:

- copy of passport - some wonder if they have to wait until they get a new passport / ID document, etc. The answer is no, if you do not have a valid passport now, upload a copy of another ID card, driver's license, etc. Then you can submit the new one when you get it.

- copy of diploma with general study qualifications - many do not have this since they are in their final year or taking up courses. Then you mark it in the application and submit it later - this is not an obstacle to not being able to complete the application. For example, if the university's electronic application requires that you upload it, create a simple document in Word in English, where you write that you will submit the diploma later  - copy of the electronic application to the university - everyone must register such an application and upload a copy in their student profile. Without this, it is not possible to register for the date of the entrance exam

3. Study guidance agreement:

- only students with a signed and submitted study guidance agreement have access to our free courses, tests and examples from previous entrance exams. You check if you have access to everything in your student profile - if you do not have access to "My tests", it means that your agreement is not in place. It is precisely our courses and tests that will help you pass the entrance exam. Our examples from previous entrance exams are real documents that we have received from the universities.

4. Questions related to the universities' electronic application forms:

- personal identity number - you should not fill in your personal identity number since you have a Norwegian and not a Slovak or Czech personal identity number. If you are asked about this in the application form, it means that you are probably filling out a form intended for Slovak or Czech students. - make sure that you are applying for medical studies in English - not Slovak - this applies to the application form for Martin - completed VGS school - there you mark "other" since you have a Norwegian VGS or BI that is not Slovak or Czech - date of final exam is the date on your diploma. If you receive the diploma later, you can either enter a future date or not fill in this field since you will submit the diploma later.

Good luck with your application!
